Compass Pilot

Compass Pilot integrates the Compass Software™ suite of programs, as well as electronic document management systems, state systems, and other software within a single interface. With Pilot, case managers no longer need to bounce from software window to software window to perform their job duties. Pilot puts the control into the case manager's hands, improving productivity and customer service.

Throughout their day, case managers find that Compass Pilot helps them streamline their daily tasks, and the software is flexible enough to let case managers work in a way they are comfortable working.

Case managers can create their own Working Folders by saving often-used queries—just like keeping working case files on their desks. In addition, a case manager can set an expiration date on current queries so that obsolete queries prompt the worker to discard them or extend the expiration date.

With Pilot, there's no need to store case files in the file room when the case is closed. That step is already done automatically. Case managers can keep a "running record" of a particular case by appending or pre-pending new documents to an existing one.

Compass Pilot benefits multiple programs by permitting Document Types to be associated with all of the benefit programs that need to use those documents. This allows a document to be scanned once and used by one or more departments within the agency. Pilot saves case managers' time by:

• Providing flexible and powerful search capabilities to find client or case information and retrieve pertinent documents
• Displaying results in related calendar view, grid view, or SmartView, which provides a custom query based on the case manager's role
• Allowing them to fill out, sign, and save forms to the document repository without leaving the Pilot interface
• Displaying only those documents related to current cases
• Saving unprocessed documents for follow up
• Integrating index data provided by state case management systems for use in Compass Pilot
• Providing a Detachable Document Viewer that can be moved to an extended dual monitor to create even more workspace
