Hardware must be installed and set up correctly, software must be configured to meet the agency's specific requirements, and employees must be trained to use and support the new solution. This last piece is among the most critical. Without administrative and employee buy-in, a project is in imminent danger of failure.
Our approach involves agency personnel in the project from day one. We think of them as part of the team. In fact, we refer to ourselves and the agency staff as "Team Northwoods". In the end, the project belongs to the agency. Our job is to see that it is correctly installed and that staff know how to use it. It is the agency staff that ultimately will make the project a success.
