Tony Gristanti, Board Member

Retired Chief Financial Officer, Netsmart

As a seasoned accounting professional, Tony was chief financial officer for 35 years at Netsmart Technologies, Inc, before retiring in April 2013.

While at Netsmart, Tony’s responsibilities included oversight of the budget process and financial forecasting, in addition to strategic, tax and cash flow planning. He also led audit and lender relations. During his tenure, he facilitated Netsmart’s transition to a public company on NASDAQ through interactions with the Securities and Exchange Commission, market makers and auditors. He later managed the company’s sale to private investors.

Tony is a certified public accountant and graduated from Pace University in New York with a bachelor’s degree in public accounting.

Chief Operating Officer, Updox

A senior executive with a successful track record of more than 15 years in high-growth healthcare technology organizations, Mike Morgan provides a data-driven management style and aggressive growth orientation with deep experience across marketing, product management, business development, and operational disciplines.

Mike is currently the chief operating officer of Updox, a fast growing healthcare technology start-up organization. Prior to Updox, Mike was senior vice president of marketing for Netsmart, an electronic health record provider, which grew to become the dominant leader in the behavioral health market.

Throughout his career, Mike held various executive management positions with start-up and established technology companies, including serving as president and CEO of ProductManage.com; vice president of marketing for two start-up software companies, fourthchannel and Enact Incorporated; and multiple product management positions with Sterling Commerce.

Mike is the founder and director of Lifting Hopes, a charity that conducts athletic events to benefit central Ohio children’s organizations. Mike is on the board of The Chapel Hill House, an Ohio State Fisher College of Business MBA Mentor and a Junior Achievement Instructor.  Mike received his degree in Business and Mathematics from Otterbein University.

Karen Semon has been coaching for over 10 years. She coaches in the areas of leadership and management, social and emotional intelligence, communication and interpersonal effectiveness, organizational and political savvy, accelerating bench strength, and with people newly promoted.

Karen has experience working with individuals from diverse companies such as IBM, OSU, Battelle, Cleveland Clinic, AEP, Nationwide Insurance, Sterling Commerce, Fiserv, GXS, and QAS Healthcare Services, as well as numerous software and services organizations and non-profit institutions.

Prior to coaching, Karen spent over 25 years in various leadership functions in retail, manufacturing, and high tech markets, with experience in a variety of roles including marketing, operations, human resource management, organizational development, sales, information technology, and electronic commerce. Karen held senior level corporate positions at Sterling Commerce, Frigidaire Corporation, and Federated Department Stores. Karen received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership  Marketing from Franklin University and is a graduate, Executive Coaching and Organizational Behavior Program from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Alan Tillinghast has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and software industries. His proven skills and expertise are in healthcare IT, strategic planning, business analysis, software implementation, and business development.

Alan is vice president, sales & business development for Meta Healthcare IT Solutions, an HIT solutions company specializing in software for hospitals and healthcare enterprises. He is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate sales strategies, client relations, and partnership development.

Prior to joining Meta Healthcare IT Solutions, Alan held leadership positions with Netsmart, where he was responsible for software development, customer support for Netsmart's healthcare technologies products, and the architecture and design of the suite of software products. He has also held positions with Saint Vincent's Hospital. Alan sits on the board of Options for Community Living, which provides housing and support services to some of Long Island's neediest people. Alan earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration  and his MBA in information technology from Iona College.
