Northwoods Consulting Partners, Inc. ("Northwoods") respects your privacy and we have developed the following policy to demonstrate our commitment to you. This privacy policy applies to information we collect about you through your use of Northwoods’ software (“Software”). We’ve done our best to cut through the legal jargon and explain in simple terms what information we collect about you, what we use it for, and the few situations in which we share it with others.
The Information We Collect
Personally Identifiable Information
When the administrator sets up your account, you give us your user account name and first and last name. In most instances, we will integrate with your network or workstation accounts to avoid having to store or manage your user password.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We receive some other information automatically when you use our Software that is anonymous, de-identified, or otherwise not intended to personally identify you. This includes but is not limited to data about your device, software, operating system, IP address, browser type, screen resolution, date and time of each button you click within the Software, and the page(s) you are viewing within the Software.
How We Use Your Information
We may use your information to:
- Provide the support service(s) requested or otherwise respond to your inquiries
- Improve the content, navigation, and efficiency of the Software
- Perform internal research
How We Share Your Information
Personally Identifiable Information
We do not share your personally identifiable information, unless we are required to: (1) to comply with a law, regulation or legal process; or (2) in connection with a merger, sale, or consolidation of all or substantially all of our assets.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of our Software. Google Analytics collects information such as how many times users click on the buttons contained within the Software and how many times errors occur. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Software. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Web Storage and Tracking Policy
A cookie is a small file placed onto your device that enables Software features and functionality. For example, cookies enable us to identify your device and secure your access to the Software.
We only use temporary session cookies that are not permanently stored. A session cookie is a unique, temporary identifier that the server uses to keep track of your current site usage. It is deleted when you close your browser.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will occasionally update this privacy policy. When we do, we will also revise the "last updated" date at the top of the privacy policy. Please check the Site from time to time for the most current version of our privacy policy. Your continued use of the Site after we have notified you of changes as described above constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
