Fresh From the Traverse Toolbox: What’s New This Fall

Less searching. More peoplework. Here’s everything we’ve shipped lately, all in one place.

If you blinked, you might have missed a few things. Traverse® has picked up some new tricks this year. Some are big, some are small, and all of them are built around one idea: you should spend more time with the people you serve and less time hunting for paperwork.

So grab a coffee. Here’s the roundup.

Just Ask Your Case

Remember scrolling through hundreds of pages to find one date? Talk to Your Case is now available as a Traverse add-on module, and it’s here to retire that habit.

Click Ask Skye on a case, person, or organization (or Ask Skye about this on a single document) and ask your question in plain language. Something like “When was the last home visit, and what was discussed?” Skye, Traverse’s AI assistant, searches everything connected to that record and answers with citations, so you can check every answer against the source.

  • Skye only uses what you can already see. No access to a document? Skye won’t use it either.
  • Your agency stays in control. Administrators decide which groups get access.
  • You make the calls. Skye finds what’s in the case. The judgment stays with you.

Here’s our favorite story so far. A supervisor at one pilot agency needed medical release forms for six children in a single case. She blocked off three hours to dig through records by hand. With Talk to Your Case, she was done in 25 minutes and went home on time.

“Talk to Your Case doesn’t replace the work or judgment of the person reviewing the case.”

Policy Answers Without the Page-Flipping

Policy manuals are long. The answer you need always seems to be on page 214. Policy Assist lets workers ask Skye about agency policy and get answers with citations from the source documents.

This summer, Policy Assist got collections, which are handy for agencies juggling more than one program or location:

  • Group policies by program area and assign each collection to the teams that need it.
  • Keep policies in sync by importing them from other systems through Traverse connectors.
  • See what people are asking with usage and question logs you can filter by location.

For workers, nothing changes. You ask the same way you always have, and the answers are just more focused. Want the two-minute tour? Watch the Policy Assist video.

Forms That Travel Light

Most visits don’t need one form. They need four. Form packets group related forms so you can complete them together instead of opening and closing each one.

Packets now live in the Traverse mobile app too. Start a whole packet with one tap. Spotty signal at a home visit? Start it offline, and it syncs when you reconnect.

  • Filters for in-progress forms. Sort by date and filter by form type or how long a form has been open, so the stragglers can’t hide.
  • Starred favorites. Star the forms you use most and they stay at the top of your list, on the web and on mobile.

The Little Things (That Are Actually Big Things)

Not every update needs a parade. Some of these came straight from customer requests, and all of them make the day a little smoother.

  • Important information, front and center. The first lines now show up right on the case, person, or organization panel. No extra click needed.
  • No more orphaned uploads. A new Unconnected view lists everything you captured on mobile that isn’t tied to a case yet, so you can connect it in seconds.
  • SSN search that isn’t picky. Dashes or no dashes, Person search finds the match.
  • Smarter scanning. Flip between pages, insert pages before or after, or clear the whole scan and start fresh.
  • Reports for more people. Admins can now give basic report access to as many groups as they need.

Better Together

Traverse works alongside the systems your agency already uses. It doesn’t replace your system of record, it just makes the work around it lighter. And our Grove team members were some of the first to put Skye to work, using it behind the scenes and sharing feedback that shaped what you see today.

What’s Next?

More good stuff, and a lot of it starts with you. Your feedback and partnerships, like our build partner work in New York, shape what we build. We’ll keep sharing updates here.

Already using Traverse? Every release lives on the Traverse Updates page in the Help Center. Ask your customer success contact about adding Talk to Your Case.
